New to green schools? Want to brush up on the basics of green, or “high performance” school facilities? This forum will provide a comprehensive overview of the basic components of green school design and their benefits; learn the fundamental principles and objectives that underlie any green school; how builders and school districts have achieved remarkable bottom line savings; and a sustainable approach to green operations. The discussion will also include curriculum integration, outdoor classrooms, rain gardens, local food, recycling and preparing students for green collar jobs of the future.

The success of green schools depends on creating a school-wide culture that recognizes and pursues sustainability, engaging students, faculty, operations staff, parents and the community.
